Polaris announces an expanded 11-car effort at the 2026 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, building on back-to-back SSV victories with the new RZR Pro R Rally.

Polaris is mounting a competitive effort at the 2026 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, building on back-to-back victories in the SSV category. The campaign represents an expanded racing programme led by LOEB FrayMédia Motorsport-RZR Factory Racing, featuring the newly developed RZR Pro R Rally for the SSV 1 class alongside the championship-winning RZR Pro R Factory in the T4 category.

Partner teams TH Trucks and Santag Racing will also compete, bringing the total Polaris entries to eleven.

The 2026 event runs January 3–17 as an 8,000-kilometre loop beginning and ending in Yanbu, with 4,900 kilometres of timed stages. The course combines dune fields, rocky terrain, and demanding marathon segments.

René Basei, VP of Polaris International, remarked: "The depth of talent gives us incredible pride as we chase another title."

Reigning champions Brock Heger and Max Eddy Jr. lead the factory effort, while eight-time World Rally Cross Champion Johan Kristoffersson makes his rally-raid debut. The LOEB factory team fields five entries across both categories.

TH-Trucks, returning after a fifth-place finish in 2025, enters two T4-category vehicles. Santag Racing contributes four crews, having claimed the 2025 World Rally Raid Championship in the SSV class with Alexandre Pinto and Bernardo Oliveira.
