Webb Engineers supports Buckham Fair with Polaris Ranger and WEV electric UTV
Buckham Fair returned to Dorset on 2 August 2026 after a five-year break, bringing together the local community for a full day celebrating rural life, countryside traditions and family entertainment.
Webb Engineers was pleased to support the events team by lending a Polaris Ranger and a WEV electric UTV for use across the fairground.
Buckham Fair welcomed visitors to a busy day of countryside entertainment and community spirit.
Organised by Martin Clunes and the Buckham Fair committee, the event included dog shows, heavy horse displays, trade stalls, food, a traditional fun fair and activities in the main ring. This year’s event was also raising funds for Dorset County Hospital’s Emergency and Critical Care Appeal.
Practical support across the fairground
Large countryside events depend on a great deal of work behind the scenes. Equipment, signs, fencing and supplies need to be moved around the site, while event teams need reliable transport to reach different areas quickly and safely.
This is where utility vehicles such as the Polaris Ranger and WEV electric UTV can make a real difference.
The Polaris Ranger range is designed for practical work in demanding outdoor environments. With features such as all-wheel drive, useful ground clearance, a cargo bed and towing capability, Rangers can help teams move equipment and supplies across fields, tracks and temporary event areas. Different models can also provide additional passenger seating and accessories for specific site requirements.
The WEV electric UTV offers a quieter, emissions-free alternative for moving people and equipment around the site. That makes it particularly well suited to countryside events where reducing noise matters, especially around horses, livestock, visitors and live displays.
Used together, the two vehicles offer flexible support: the Polaris Ranger for heavier-duty transport and general site work, and the WEV for quieter movement between event areas.
Well suited to rural events
Countryside events can involve uneven ground, changing weather and large areas to cover. A compact utility vehicle can reach places that may be difficult for larger vehicles while still carrying the equipment and people needed by the events team.
The Polaris Ranger and WEV electric UTV ranges are both designed around this kind of flexibility. They can support the practical side of an event without taking attention away from the attractions visitors have come to enjoy.
For Webb Engineers, lending the vehicles was a simple way to support a valued local event and contribute to the team working hard behind the scenes.
We would like to thank the Buckham Fair organisers, volunteers and events team for bringing the fair back to Dorset. It was a pleasure to lend a hand, and we hope the Polaris Ranger and WEV electric UTV helped make the day’s work a little easier.
